County launches Rogers Mesa Access Control Plan

IMPORTANT MEETING FOR FOLKS LIVING ON ROGERS MESA — County staff and consultants invite interested people to attend a public presentation of the Rogers Mesa Access Control Plan on April 5, from 5 to 7 P.M., at Hotchkiss High School. (For a PDF of an initial presentation to County Commissioners, email joannlkalenak@gmail.com). A county webpage dedicated to the project is currently under construction and due for release in the next few days (http://www.deltacounty.com/rogersmesaplan).

The County has partnered with CDOT and Stolfus & Associates consulting to perform an access control plan on Highway 92 on Rogers Mesa. The project has begun and is expected to take about one year, with completion expected in the fall of 2017. The project will review the existing access situation in the area with the intention of developing a plan for improving safety and access to the highway. As part of the effort, CDOT will begin evaluating improvement options to the roadway design in this area as part of a future improvement road project.
