Controversial Planning Meeting Rescheduled

The Upper North Fork Valley Planning Committee and Delta County Planning Commission have rescheduled a meeting for June 6 at Paonia Town Hall to discuss Mark Levin’s specific development application. The original meeting was scheduled for May 10 but Levin resubmitted his application causing the postponement.

Planners will discuss Levin and Paonia Holdings, LLC’s intentions for the former Bowie Resources load-out area north of Paonia on Highway 133 and ancillary property located on Stevens Gulch.

Levin’s initial plan left many area residents who live close the property with no clear idea what the applicant was actually planning. The application further offered no plan for mitigation of what Levin stated he “may” do with the property.
