JOANN KALENAK, SENIOR BLOGGER — Delta County Commissioners plan to meet on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 in a special business meeting to sign a resolution authorizing County Attorney, John Baier, to finalize the purchase of two parcels located at 405 W. 5th Street in Delta at a total cost of $345,000.
Commissioners have met with Baier, in executive session, on three occasions to discuss the purchase of land in Delta but details have been limited to just that — the land is in Delta.
Commissioners have not discussed the proposed use of this property in open session but a recent contractor request went out last week “soliciting proposals for the purchase and installation of a maintenance shop.”
DCCR has asked the county whether the two events are related but received no response at the time of this blog posting.
