County wins GOCO grant for trails master plan

GOCO (lottery money) DOLES OUT FUNDS TO IMPROVE TRAILS according to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel. Delta County has been awarded $100,000 to develop a master plan for trails — all kinds of trails including biking, hiking and horse. The money is strictly for trail planning — not building.

From the Sentinel: “A $100,000 grant to Delta County to develop its first trails master plan to help deal with future construction. The long-range plan is to coordinate with towns and other municipalities in the county to establish a plan to connect them with bike, pedestrian and equestrian access.” http://www.gjsentinel.com/news/articles/goco-doles-out-funds-to-improve-trails
