HIGHLIGHTS, Sept. 5, 2017, County Commissioner Meeting

• Commissioners agreed to support the Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s efforts to retrace the Old Spanish Trial. They signed a letter agreeing to permit Colorado Park and Wildlife to access Delta County-owner property for the purposes of tracing the trial. • Delta County Tourism Coordinator Kelli Hepler shared the organizations strategic plan and 2017-18 marketing plans with Commissioners. She noted high engagement in social media marketing efforts including a recent campaign called: Five Trials You Need to be on a First Name Basis With. • Delta Conservation District Supervisor Mike Cleary asked Commissioners for $10,000 to help fund two technician positions. No decision was made.

• Debbie Melgoza and Lori Cressler were appointed to the Community Development Block Grant Board. Both will serve as representation for low income and/or financial insufficiency issues.

• Commissioner and County Attorney John Baier move into Executive Session to discuss their negotiations with the Delta Urban Renewal Authority.
