Hotchkiss ECO Firm Wins Trail Project Award

Pitkin County Open Space and Trails is developing options for a trail in the Crystal River Valley, part of the broader Carbondale to Crested Butte Trail.

Pitkin County just signed a contract with Hotchkiss firm, ERO Resources, for environmental services and with Loris and Associates Consulting Engineers for engineering feasibility work. The consultants will be gathering data to discuss with the public by late summer.

The Hotchkiss firm was chosen by a review team that included members from Open Space and Trails, the White River National Forest, the Gunnison-Mesa-Uncompahgre National Forest, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Town of Crested Butte, Gunnison County and two representatives from the Crystal Caucus Tails Committee.
